About the LEADS Inspired Leadership Program

LEADS Inspired Leadership brings online the renowned LEADS Learning Series that has been transforming health leadership for more than a decade. Dynamic and interactive courses explore each of the LEADS domains and empower you to enhance your leadership skills in decision making, influencing and inspiring others to lead change and organizational transformation. By the end of the program you will have the confidence to express your leadership voice to meet the challenges you face whenever and wherever they arise.

- Meets the LEADS Learning Series requirement for: the CHE, the Certified LEADS Specialist (CLS) certification and the Organizational LEADS Debrief Coach (OLDC) certification at the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL).
- Eligible for 10 CCHL maintenance of certification credits (MOCs)
- Eligible for 7 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits through the Canadian College of Health Information Management
- There are no application prerequisites for this program

When purchasing the CHE and LEADS Inspired Leadership program at the same time, a special “bundle price” is available. With this option, the cost of the CHE and the LEADS Inspired Leadership program are both reduced by $200 (for a total savings of $400.00). Mike Benallick

Mike Benallick
Mike Benallick is Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. With more than 24 years of leadership experience across healthcare and higher education, he has led initiatives in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and quality improvement. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts from Briercrest College and is a Certified LEADS Specialist, Certified Lean Leader, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Certified Core Strengths Facilitator. He is also certified in Crucial Conversations, The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team, and Coaching Out of the Box, and is currently completing his Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation.

Shelley Hale
Shelley Hale is Director of Support Services with Service Coordination Support, Principal Consultant with SEHale Consulting, and a part-time Professor at Algonquin College. With more than 30 years of clinical and administrative experience, she has held senior leadership roles across health and social services, specializing in leadership development, performance management, and interprofessional collaboration. Shelley holds a Master of Arts in Leadership with a Health Specialization from Royal Roads University and is a certified LEADS facilitator. She also served on the Council of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers for 20 years, including three years as President.

Nadine Whelan
Nadine Whelan is a leadership, organizational, and community development consultant with more than 30 years of experience across the health and social services sectors. She has held leadership roles in organizational effectiveness, quality improvement, strategic planning, and leadership development, including senior leadership positions with Eastern Health in Newfoundland and Labrador. Nadine holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University. She is a certified LEADS facilitator and Prosci Change Management practitioner with extensive expertise in organizational development, facilitation, coaching, and change leadership.

Peter Youell
Peter Youell is a retired healthcare leader with nearly 40 years of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and healthcare innovation. He spent 38 years with The Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, including 16 years as Director of Learning and Organizational Development, and also served as Acting Director of Communications and Manager of Telemedicine and Education Technologies. Peter played a pioneering role in the development of telemedicine in Canada, helping advance virtual healthcare delivery through innovative technology-enabled care. He is a Certified LEADS Specialist with expertise in conflict resolution, quality improvement, systems thinking, appreciative inquiry, adult learning, and leadership development.
